This is the beginning of a new project, in this particular piece the bird had to be moved manually down the thread in order for in to dive into the pit and out through the hole in the bottom.

This is the beginning of a series depicting man vs. nature, the continuous struggle that has been the subject of stories, worship, industrial progresses...
it seems to have been humanities desire to conquer and command nature rather than working with and within the delicate system that already exists.
I believe this is changing, and has been for many years as humanity becomes increasingly aware of the environmental and biological impact our actions have taken. We can see the change in the push for "green" design and other developing technologies and beliefs.
