this is the Wild Horse, also called "Equus Ferus." Extinct in the wild predominantly due to habitat loss and shooting to keep the horses from breeding with tamed mares.

Images from the Endangered Species Project

...now being shown at the Marwen Gallery Artfair from November 7- November 10.
These are handprinted woodblock monotypes depicting the "Red Tailed Shark," or "Epalzeorhynchos Bicolor." The Red Tailed Shark is native to Thailand and has most likely become extinct in the wild due to habitat modification.

Current Project, started Summer 2008: Endangered Species

I am currently working on a series of prints depicting living things, coming from different regions of the world, that have become extinct in the wild due to multiple factors. NOTE: those that exist do so only due to human influence.
My goal is to sell these at $50 and donate the majority of the proceeds to the IUCN in an effort to promote their goal of protecting the planet and it's wildlife. These are images of some of the blocks. This is the "Wild Horse," and above the "Red Tailed Shark."
