The signs of a table well worked

At work we keep this table covered with paper and then drill, saw, cut, paint and stain in all matter of ways.  Some things leak through. I find the final product to be really beautiful.

It took a little time for the colors to darken and this is by far the largest polaroid I've ever seen or taken. The shot took some time to set up, testing a retesting the light, using loops to focus the upside down reverse view.  Film by The Impossible Project. Freaking cool. Shout to A&A Studios for supplying access to the camera and film.

This piece is about time.  

About time changing spaces and the ability to we have build maps in our minds.  

Sometimes those maps are off- 

your sense of direction was not set right, or someone spun you in circles too many times.  

Sometimes your memory of a space and it's placement on a map is close or even spot on.

Either way every space changes over time.
